I have recently had completed a new timber fence by John
of Magic Fencing. John came highly recommended from a
Landscape Designer/Horticulturalist who has worked with
him on projects for over 8 years. However, my neighbour
wanted to make sure that we had a fair comparison with
other fencing contractors, so others were invited to quote
on our job.
As it turned out, due to the difficult conditions on the
site, including a fall of about 5m, poor access and
jungle-like surrounds with old bamboo and lush planting,
most others were put off and didn’t want to take on the
challenge. John to his credit looked at solutions that
would work structurally and aesthetically and also please
both neighbours and meet their requirements. Nothing was
“standard”. It was important that a good amount of detail
was provided in the quote to cover every part of the job.
John and his staff were courteous to deal with and
communicated along the way, as appropriate. They cleaned
up the site as the job progressed. There was flexibility
in adjusting the brief, after discovering some problems
that only emerged during construction. The finished fence
looks solid, well detailed and was very reasonably priced.
We recommend John Delmas and Magic Fencing without
hesitation.
